Custom handcrafted guitars by woodworking artisan and famed musician, Doug Miller, aka Faydoe Deelay. For artists, musicians, and collectors alike.
“It all begins with an idea and a feel for the wood. Milling the wood reveals what direction I take. Once I see the figure, the choice is made on what goes where and how I will string it altogether.”

The Artisan
At the helm of Delite Woodworking is artist and musician, Doug Miller.
“Woodworking is where I find my peace.”
As an 8 year old, Miller’s grandfather, Eugene, gave him his first lesson in carpentry; building a skateboard launch ramp. Neighborhood kids soon took notice of the knack he had for building and requested ramps of their own. Before his elementary school graduation, Miller had designed and built 30 ramps and half pipes for the kids around town.
Miller’s interests didn’t stop there. At the age of 9, he picked up his first guitar. He wasn’t just listening to hip hop like his friends, he felt a deeper pull towards music as a whole. In high school, he formed a band by the name of IDK, leading him to playing in a few others, and in his early 20s joined the American rock rap band, Crazy Town. The rest is history.
After a successful run in the music industry, Miller came back to his carpentry roots building homes, remodeling, and creating custom wood furniture. His two worlds became one when he began building custom guitars. Soon after that, he met professional guitar builder, Pete Hilton and knew he found what he wanted to continue with.
“Sometimes when you get a great piece of wood, it tells you what it wants to be.”
